Background/History

The largest campus of the private Long Island University system, LIU Post offers a small-school environment with the access and resources of a renowned cosmopolitan university within a scenic and historic campus. Located on the north shore of Long Island and established in 1954 on the former estate of heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post, the University’s 308-acre ground is home to historic landmarks and venues such as the acclaimed Tilles Centre for the Performing Arts, Long Island’s premier arts venue.
